CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – Two separate incidents in the water off Clearwater Beach sent three people to local hospitals, according to the city officials.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department personnel responded to the incidents Sunday afternoon. During the Clearwater speed boat race, one of the speed boats flipped. Two people were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. According to the city officials, one of them is a trauma alert.
In the second incident, a woman was swimming near a spectator boat when she had some sort of a seizure or a medical incident. She was pulled from the water and taken to a hospital.
