ORLANDO, Fla. —A power outage a Universal Studios prompted a response from the Orlando Fire Department to help remove passengers from two rides Friday morning, an official with the park said.

The park-wide outage was reported just before 10 a.m. Only Escape from Gringots and the Simpsons ride were unaffected.

Guests were urged to go to Islands of Adventure, which never lost power.

Fire officials were called in to help remove riders from the Transformers ride and Men in Black.

As of 11 a.m., guests on Transformers were still being helped off the ride. All other guests were safely removed from the other attractions across Universal Studios.

Crews continue to work to restore power to the park, which a Universal spokesperson said is expected to happen shortly.

No riders were in distress or needed treatment or transport to any hospital.
