HAINES CITY, Fla. (WFLA) – A local rap artist died from a gunshot wound Sunday at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center, according to Haines City Police.
The shooting took place shortly after 8 p.m. on North 10th Street just east of Cook Field, according to HCPD.
Jonathan Lee Jordan, 31, of Haines City, was taken to a hospital with a single gunshot wound.
Jordan, a.k.a. J. Green, a local rapper, died from his injuries late Saturday night, only two days before his 32nd birthday.
HCPD detectives are investigating his death.
