HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WLFA) – Red Cross will help 10 people who were displaced in a two-alarm house fire in Plant City Friday.

It happened a little before 3 p.m. Friday at a house located at Joe Macintosh Road in Plant City. The residents of the house were outside cooking on a propane grill and went inside to grab seasoning for their food. When they came back outside, the front of the house was on fire, they told firefighters.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire scene and soon called for a second alarm. They needed extra manpower due to the size of the structure and the heat of the day.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about an hour.

No one was injured, the Red Cross chapter will help out the 10 people displaced by the fire.
