Tropical Storm Lisa forms off coast of Africa

(WFLA) — Tropical Storm Lisa formed off the coast of Africa on Tuesday morning.

The storm is expected to dissipate in the open Atlantic, according to Storm Team Meteorologist Leigh Spann.

As of 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Tropical Storm Lisa was about 430 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.

Tropical Storm Lisa is the 12th named storm of the 2016 hurricane season.
