HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Hernando County detectives charged six people in connection with an undercover drug bust.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about 7145 Holiday Drive in spring Hill, deputies said. On Multiple occasions, undercover detectives purchased narcotics from the home’s occupants, according to the sheriff’s office.

On Friday detectives executed a search warrant at the residence, which Christopher Giordano owns. Giordano and five other people were taken into custody after detectives found controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

“Detectives also encountered the residence to have no electricity and other unsafe living conditions. Hernando County Code Enforcement was contacted and officers responded to discover several violations that will be followed up with potential fines,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson said.

In addition, detectives found a 2-year-old in the residence with both parents. The Department of Children and Families was contacted, and an investigator took custody of the 2-year-old.

“During an interview, the parents of the child told detectives that ‘while one gets high, the other watches the child – or if they both want to get high together, they ask someone to come over to watch the child,'” the spokesperson said.
