(WFLA) – Release the hounds! We mean the wiener dogs.
Cincinnati Oktoberfest is in full swing this weekend. One of the most adorable traditions has kicked off the 40th annual celebration of the German heritage and culture.
The running of the wieners took place Friday. About 100 dachshunds competed for the title of the fastest wiener.
This Oktoberfest is billed “North America’s Largest” and coincides with the Bavarian Beer Fest in Munich, Germany.
More than 500,000 people are expected to pack downtown Cincinnati.
