Part of Westshore Blvd. in Tampa closing for construction

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — A portion of Westshore Boulevard from Tennyson Avenue to Browning Avenue in South Tampa will be closed starting Wednesday, September 14, for stormwater construction.

The northbound lane on Westshore from Tennyson Avenue to Browning Avenue will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to install stormwater facilities. They expect the road to be reopen by Friday this week.

Northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained at all times, with delays.

The City of Tampa asks drivers to use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Westshore was closed for over a month earlier this year for construction as well. The construction in June was to help the horrible South Tampa flooding issue, and is part of the Watrous Canal Rehabilitation Project.
