TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Part of 7th Avenue between 34th Street and 39th Street will be closed beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The closure is part of the city’s resurfacing project. The lanes will be closed every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Officials said the paving project should be completed by Friday, Sept. 30.
Motorists should use alternate routes. See the options in the photo to the right.
In addition, part of Florida Avenue will be closed beginning Saturday, Sept. 17. This closure is part of a City Hall renovation project.
One Florida northbound lane will be closed until March 2008, officials said. See alternative route options in the photo to the left.
In August Tampa officials announced 18 – 24 months of construction.
The closure is for “infrastructure and roadway improvements to support Tampa’s growing downtown and redevelopment,” officials said. The city created a website to keep people informed about the construction and closures.
