Food drive to be held for Pasco flooding victims

Pasco County flooding

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Pasco County residents are holding an event Sunday to help their neighbors affected by Hurricane Hermine.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be held at the Sheriffs Ranches Enterprises thrift store, located at 3621 US-19 in New Port Richey. “Citizens are banding together, collecting donations, offering clean-up help and organizing a food drive for those Pasco citizens that were affected by Hermine,” the event’s organizers explain.

Flood victims can pick up needed items between 1 p.m. and 4 p..m Sunday. Victims will need to bring an ID or piece of US mail with an address. Organizers say they want to make sure residents who had to evacuate receive the aid.

You can sign up here to volunteer for Sunday’s event. More information is available here.
