Pasco deputies warn about phone scam related to Hurricane Hermine

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a Hurricane Hermine-related phone scam.

“Callers claim to be from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and demand a deposit for storm damages,” deputies explained.

Be very careful before giving out any personal information by phone.
