Power crews are working to restore power in River Haven, Halls River and Fishbowl areas. Halls River to Mason Creek is open.But there is a lot of debris with trees uprooted in many spots. Please continue to be careful when heading out on the roads. Parts of Citrus County are getting rain again Saturday

Top Headlines:

  • From Citrus County: Fort Island Beach in Crystal River is badly damaged by Hermine. The storm came ashore with fierce winds and heavy rain knocking down the ramp and pier. The beach will be closed throughout the weekend. County officials will need to check the integrity of the pier to see if they can even repair it. The county is asking residents to please stay away from the beach until further notice.So far today, emergency personnel have rescued 40 people by car and boat.During our voluntary evacuation, 19 people utilized our general population/pet shelter at Lecanto Primary.
  • Citrus County residents brace for more rain, flooding
  • The county’s general population shelter/pet friendly shelter at Lecanto Primary is now closed. If you need assistance call 911.
