Power restored for 3,000 South Tampa residents

UPDATE: TECO has restored the power for more than 3,000 residents in South Tampa as of 5 a.m. 

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa Electric says 3,024 customers in South Tampa around Gandy Blvd. are currently without power. The company is aware of the outage and estimates power will be restored by 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

The cause of the outage is listed as pending.

Power has been restored to a majority of the other Tampa Electric customers, including those outside the City of Tampa.
