Police seek 3 suspects in Pinellas purse snatching

TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. (WFLA) – Police are searching for three people suspected in a Treasure Island purse snatching.

The incident happened Aug. 23 around 1:40 a.m. at 10801 Gulf Blvd.

A victim reported two females and one male stole her purse. Video surveillance captured the incident, according to the Treasure Island Police Department.

The three suspects were in a grey mid-2000s Chevy Tahoe.

“A confrontation ensued and after several minutes, it appears the male suspect was searching through something next to the driver’s side door,” police said. “Investigators believe the suspect was searching the victim’s purse.”
