Disney to livestream Main Street Electrical Parade before final run

(WESH) — Disney will livestream the Main Street Electrical Parade before the nighttime parade’s final run in October.

The Main Street Electrical Parade will be livestreamed from Magic Kingdom on Sunday Aug. 28 at 8:55 p.m. The parade will be livestreamed on the Disney Parks blog.

iNSIDE Disney Parks, a video series produced by Disney, announced the livestream details in a video posted Thursday on YouTube.

The Main Street Electrical Parade will make its final run at Walt Disney World on Oct. 9. The parade will head to Disneyland Resort in California for a limited-time encore engagement starting in 2017.

The Main Street Electrical Parade features floats that honor some of Disney’s favorite characters from “Alice In Wonderland,” “Cinderella” and more. Tinker Bell lights the way as more than half a million lights twinkle to a synchronized to a soundtrack.

The company has not announced what will replace the parade.

The Main Street Electrical Parade will be presented on select nights through Oct. 9. The parade does not run during some events, including Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which starts in September.
