VIDEO: Suspect ejected from patrol car after crash in Arkansas

JONESBORO, Ark. (KRON) — A police officer was injured and a suspect in jail, after the officer’s patrol car crashed and flipped, and sent the suspect out of the back window in Arkansas.

In the video 19-year-old suspect Logan Younger managed to partially loosen himself from his handcuffs and kicked the police car door, moments before the crash.

According to officers, after flying out the back window of the overturned car Younger fled the scene but was caught moments later.

Crews had to cut the car in order to free the officer who was trapped inside, after being released the officer was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The severity of injuries to the officer are unknown at this time, but hospital officials said the officer was conscious and speaking with staff.

Younger was treated at a hospital as well and was sent to jail.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
