Crash on Howard Frankland closes lanes

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — The Tampa Police Department is assisting Florida Highway Patrol with a crash involving an overturned vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday. One person is being transported to the hospital due to injuries.

Traffic is down to only one lane due to the crash. Morning commuters should take alternate routes until FHP can open all lanes on the bridge up to traffic. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
