CASSELBERRY, Fla. (WESH) – Sterling Park Elementary School in Casselberry is being disinfected after 20 staff members became ill with what health officials believe may be norovirus.

Employees with symptoms — which include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea — will not report to work until their symptoms subside.

Meanwhile, Seminole County Public Schools is working with the Florida Department of Health to ensure proper sterilization is completed.

School officials believe sterilization will be completed and schools will be ready for the start of the school year on Wednesday.
