Silver Alert cancelled, missing Manatee man located

Thomas Wade was reported missing.

Update- 11:10 a.m. Friday: The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office says Thomas Wade has been found.

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Silver Alert has been issued for a man who could suffer from dementia and is missing and endangered.

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office investigators say on July 31, Thomas Wade, 73, left Ellenton to drive to the state of New York in his car. As of Friday, Aug. 5, he has not arrived and his family can not locate him. They say he could suffer from dementia.

Thomas Wade has grey hair and blue eyes. He weighs 180 lbs. and is 5 ft. 8 inches tall. It is not known what clothing he was wearing. Wade was driving a red, 2007, Lincoln with Florida license tag 374 QHL.
