ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – St. Petersburg police located a woman Tuesday who is accused of of pouring boiling soup on her boyfriend’s face. Misty Childs, 41, was located at 2001 1/2 Queensboro Ave. South after the St. Petersburg Police Department received a tip.
Detectives arrested Childs. She will be charged with attempted first-degree murder, police said.
Investigators say Childs and her boyfriend got into an argument just after midnight on Sunday. After the argument, the boyfriend went to bed.
Childs had been preparing a boiling pot of soup. Detectives say she poured the soup onto the victim’s face and upper torso as he was lying in bed.
The victim is still in critical condition.
