ROAD TO RIO: Track stars talk about victory laps

Winning an Olympic race is the highlight of most runners’ lives. But it is usually followed by the second best moment, their victory lap, which is a little more difficult than it looks.

Here are the Olympic events the athletes in this video will be competing in:

LaShawn Merritt: 200- and 400-meter races

Christian Taylor: Triple jump

Aries Merritt: A London gold medalist, Merritt underwent a kidney transplant about a year ago. He did not qualify for Rio.

Dawn Harper-Nelson: Already a two-time Olympic gold medalist, Harper-Nelson did not qualify for the 2016 games.
