TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will rally in Tampa Friday. The rally will take place at Florida State Fairgrounds, where we could learn who Clinton will pick as her Vice President running mate.
Several lined up outside Entertainment Hall early to secure a spot at the big event. Andrew Wheeler was one of them. He’s a University of Florida student, who recently turned 18.
“This election, we have two choices with a chance to win and I can only stand for one of them,” said Wheeler.
Others made signs to pass the time before the doors open in the afternoon.
Jessie Ward traveled all the way from Savannah, Georgia. A Bernie Sanders supporter, who has now made the switch to Clinton, Ward said Trump’s plan to run the country is out of focus.
“He doesn’t have any logical things to say, he’s never made any talking point that’s just not a talking point of I’ll make America great again but he can’t tell us how,” said Ward.
Teresa Rey watched Donald Trump’s speech last night. She said she doesn’t believe Trump can make America great for the gay community.
“Last night, he was talking about, oh LGBT people, I’ll do everything for you and then, but his running mate is Pence who is super anti-LGBT,” said Rey. “This is a huge election this year and it can make a big difference because we have two candidates that are a hundred percent different from each other.”
The rally starts at 4:30 p.m.
