Two cats die in Pasco fire started by lightning strike

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Pasco County Fire Rescue crews responded to a mobile home fire Thursday evening.

Crews arrived at 10121 Saranac Trail around 5:13 p.m. The home was fully involved.

Eighteen personnel battled the blaze. It was contained around 5:41 p.m.

Two cats died in the fire. The homeowner was not home.

A lightning strike started the fire, officials said.
