NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) – The Naples Zoo is taking a Pokemon precaution as the Pokemon GO trend is reaching the area. The warning signs have been put up on the zoo premises warning guests not to try and hunt the Pokemon in the restricted zoo areas.
The zoo is full of wild exotic animals – but it also boasts several Pokestops and Pokemon, many of them in the restricted areas. That’s why the zoo staffers had to put up the signs.
“It’s going to end up not being a whole lot of fun,” Scott Johnson, a zoo official, said. “Even if they don’t get injured by an animal, if they are found by employees, most likely they’ll be escorted out of the zoo.”
The zoo has contacted the game developers asking them to move the Pokemon stops to the public areas of the zoo.
