ROAD TO RIO: Olympians share their unique talents

In less a month you will be seeing hundreds of athletes competing at the top of their sport at the Rio 2016 Olympics. But not all of the Olympians’ talents will be on display in Rio. Some have secret skills … that probably won’t get them to the top of a medal podium anytime soon.

NBC Olympics talked with Olympic hopefuls as the trained to compete for a shot at Rio. Watch the video to see what the athletes had to say.

Here is information about the athletes in this video:

  • Paige Selenski: Selenski was not named to the USA Field Hockey roster but is traveling to Rio as an alternate for the team.
  • John Orozco: Orozco, who competed in the 2012 London Olympics, made the U.S. men’s gymnastics team and is headed to Rio.
  • Evelyn Stevens: Stevens will be competing in Rio as part of the U.S. cycling team.
  • Jillion Potter: Potter is a member of the U.S. women’s rugby team.
