TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Country music legend Dolly Parton will perform in Tampa on Thanksgiving weekend during in her first major tour in more than 25 years.
The 70-year-old singer will sing at Amalie Arena on Saturday, November 26.
Tickets for Parton’s “Pure and Simple” tour go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 22.
“We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again. I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple,” Parton said.
Parton’s set list will include hit songs along with a few new songs from her new album “Pure & Simple,” which is set for release this summer. She will also be playing songs that have not been heard live for decades, according to an Amalie Arena spokesperson.
The entertainment icon is on one of the biggest hot streaks of her career after her hugely successful movie aired on NBC last year. “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” attracted a network record of more than 15.8 million viewers. It was the most-watched movie on network TV in more than three years and was released earlier this year.
A sequel called “Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love,” is scheduled to air on NBC this December.
