Ken Dunn is a former Major Crimes Investigator with an 11th grade education. Since retiring from police work, Dunn has started four successful major businesses in four separate industries: Property Management, Mortgage and Finance, Direct Sales, and Publishing. He credits his success to his love of reading. He’s read more than 1,500 books and has interacted with tens of thousands of authors.
Dunn’s latest endeavor is a social media network for book lovers. ReadersLegacy.com encourages users to post book reviews, connect with other readers, follow their favorite authors, and learn about new books and authors. Participation in the website earns users currency called “Lit Coins,” which can be exchanged for free books. The website hopes to give away more than 1 million books in 2016. Even better, Readers Legacy donates a portion of its earnings to children’s literacy programs. This year, Readers Legacy is anticipated to donate more than $200,000.
Organizations that promote learning and reading can apply for grants, starting in September, at this link.
