SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources is reaching out to an unusual source for feedback.
Children ages six and up are invited to share their thoughts about what amenities a fun playground might have.
“We want to know what the kids want. After all, they are the ones who will be using the playground so they should have a say in what goes into it,” said Parks, Recreation and Natural Resource Director Carolyn Brown.
Kids are invited to a planned community workshop where leaders will gather ideas for the new playground and concept plan at the 10-acre Tuscano park site, located at U.S. 41 and Taylor Ranch Trail. Some amenities suggested include themed playground areas, adventure play hills, picnic pavilions, seating, multi-purpose fields, restrooms and a concession area.
The workshop will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Woodmere Park in Venice. You can expect fun and engaging activities for children to get creative and share their thoughts.
