Former reality TV contestant, now PE teacher arrested for DUI

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – A former reality TV contestant currently employed by the Pinellas County school district as a PE teacher was pulled over and arrested for DUI on Treasure Island early morning Monday.

Casey Turner, a season 11 contestant on the reality TV show Big Brother, who teaches at Woodlawn Elementary School, was driving down 112th Avenue on Treasure Island on a flat rear passenger tire.

A Treasure Island Police officer saw him going east in the westbound lane for about 100 feet before he initiated a stop. The officer saw that Turner had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech. Truner refused the breathalyzer and failed a sobriety test.

Turner admitted to drinking and asked the officer to just let him go home.

The officer placed him under arrest and post Miranda Turner said he had two vodka cocktails. He was later released on his own recognizance.

Turner was a contestant on season 11 of the reality show Big Brother. The season aired in 2009. According to his show bio posted on he is married and a father.
