Tampa man accused of using stolen credit cards to fill bladder truck with gas

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Tampa man is accused of using stolen credit cards to fill up a “bladder” truck with gas.

Investigastors with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services say they recovered a 400-gallon bladder truck and four counterfeit credit cards from Dian Jesus Oquendo Columbie, 31, of Tampa.

A bladder truck is a vehicle that has been retrofitted to include a fuel tank that is hidden from plain sight and can be used to hold large volumes of fuel. The fuel is then typically sold on the black market.

Columbie was charged with unlawful conveyance of fuel, a third degree felony. Investigators say he will face additional charges.
