Man, woman sought in connection with Tampa murder

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – A man and a woman seen on surveillance video at a gas station may have information about the murder of the Tampa man in April, according to Tampa Police. TPD detectives need help identifying and locating the two.

The man and the woman may have information on the murder of James Simmons, 48. He was found dead in his home on East Curtis Street on Apr. 25. The victim’s mother found him deceased in the evening and called police.

His credit card was used to make a purchase that same day at the Marathon gas station at Columbus Drive and N 40th Street. The surveillance video showing the man and the woman was taken at that same gas station.
