Life Hacks: Tips for staying productive in your home office

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — Your home office is where you strive to be productive. But it can sometimes be hard to concentrate. 8 On Your Side has life hacks to help you.

According to 1000LifeHacks.com, the color yellow can help you stay focused.

Gwen Hodge, owner of Mall Office Products in Tampa, recommends buying office supplies in bright colors too. The items can also keep you organized.

“I’ll have different colors for certain things that I do,” she said.

I Love Tech’s YouTube video includes a hack for organizing your cords by using binder clips. Or, if possible, you can get rid of them altogether.

“Whether it be a wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, wireless headset,” explains Hodge, “So those are the three things that are really important for your comfort, and when you’re comfortable, you’re actually a lot more productive.”

Another life hack Hodge uses, are plastic paper clips instead of the metal ones. “If it’s an important document you need to mail out, it doesn’t create that indention,” she said.

Her ultimate hack? Her dog, who gets to go to the office with her every day and helps everyone with stress relief.
