List of top universities in world; see which Florida school is ranked highest

A recently released report ranks the best universities in the world. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2015-2016 consider schools from throughout the world.

These are “the only international university performance tables to judge world class universities across all of their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook,” the report reads.

The rankings are based on these factors:

  • Teaching – learning environment
  • Research – volume and quality
  • Citations – the influence of the university’s research
  • International outlook – for faculty, students and research
  • Industry income
