KANSAS CITY, MO (WCMH) —  Sometimes, even heroes need help. But when the help comes in the form of a friendly rival, it may be a tough pill to swallow.

Several police officers became stuck, on Wednesday, in an elevator at the Kansas City Missouri Police Academy, NBC News reports.

The officers had to call their friends at the fire department for help, only fueling the flames of a long-standing and light-hearted rivalry.

Of course, the fire department had to get a picture to document the moment.

The Kansas City Police Department posted the picture on their Facebook page with the caption, “Well, that was embarrassing.”

Everyone made it out of the elevator safely, but the police department’s pride may have suffered some injury.
