RVR Horse Rescue Celebrates ASPCA Help A Horse Day on April 23rd
Help an incredible life-saving organization win a $25,000 ASPCA grant and save more horses

Riverview,FL April 5, 2015 — RVR Horse Rescue invites the public to join them in celebrating the 150th year anniversary of the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®). The event will take place on Saturday, April 23rd, marking the annual Help A Horse Day. With community support, RVR will be eligible to win up to $25,000 in grant prizes. This type of funding is vital to a non-profit organization dedicated to the costly cause of rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected horses.

The national Help A Horse Day was created to showcase various equine organizations and their lifesaving efforts on behalf of at-risk horses, and to encourage community involvement.

Help A Horse Day festivities at RVR are geared for family fun, education, and awareness. From 12-4 p.m., the 40-acre facility in Riverview will bustle with music and food, children’s activities, and pony rides. Facility tours will introduce the guests to the current rescue horses and those available for adoption. Delightful raffle, vendor, and tack items will be available, along with RVR logo merchandise and their adult and children’s books. Every purchase benefits the ranch in some way and each dollar makes the ASPCA grant more possible.

In lieu of attending the event, Help A Horse Day contributions may be made via the Donation button on the website. Each contribution increases the likelihood that RVR will receive an ASPCA grant and all donations are tax deductible.

RVR Horse Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization founded in 2004. Known for taking on the worst cases of abuse and neglect, RVR supports the entire state of Florida and works in conjunction with state and federal law enforcement agencies. Its mission is fivefold: rescue, rehabilitate, re-home, and provide sanctuary and hospice services.
