CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — Here’s something tasty to put on your calendar.

The Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Taste Fest and Restaurant Week in May. It’s a great way to sample foods from Clearwater Beach restaurants without busting your budget.

In its seventh year, Taste Fest is scheduled for Friday, May 6 and will kick off Restaurant Week. 30 restaurants are scheduled to participate in Taste Fest. People who buy tickets to the family friendly event will get a wristband and will be able to sample foods and wines offered by the restaurants. Beer will also be available with the purchase of a beer drink ticket.

Taste Fest will also have live entertainment featuring Eric Darius and fireworks. Other activities include a live auction and tickets will be sold for raffle baskets.

“It’s a great opportunity to sample the restaurants,” said Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce Events Coordinator Cierra Gooding. “A great time to be with family.”

Some of the restaurants participating include Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber, Frenchy’s Saltwater Cafe, Island Way Grill and more (see the entire list here).

Taste Fest will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Clearwater Beach’s Beach Walk Promenade, which is in front of the Hyatt Regency. Tickets cost $30 for adults and $15 for kids ages 6 to 12. Tickets can be purchased at the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce or online here.

A complete list of participating restaurants will be listed here before the start of Restaurant Week.

The Morton Plant Hospital is a sponsor of Restaurant Week and has challenged restaurants to create a heart healthy appetizer for the prix fixe menu. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation.
