Deputies: 1 dead after road-rage incident leads to shooting

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) – One man has died after authorities say a road-rage incident led to a shooting in Fort Lauderdale.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded Sunday evening to a report that a man had been shot.

Spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said Monday that the victim was identified as 27-year-old Don William Alvarez of Fort Lauderdale. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

No other details have been released. In a statement late Sunday, the sheriff’s office said the suspected shooter remained at the scene and was questioned by authorities.
