Hillsborough crews on scene of water rescue in Lake Thonotosassa

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue are on scene of a water rescue in Lake Thonotosassa.

Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Cristal Bermudez says a 24-year-old man jumped off a boat and did not resurface. Bermudez says the man’s friends said the man did not know how to swim.

The man has been missing for about an hour.
