Discount tickets sold at Publix for Florida Strawberry Festival

PLANT CITY, FL (WFLA) —  As the 2016 Florida Strawberry Festival gets underway March 3rd, 8 On Your Side reminds festival-goers that discount tickets can be purchased ahead of time at many Publix stores throughout central Florida.

Discount ticket prices are $8 for adults (ages 13+), $4 for children (ages 6-12) and free for children under 5. Tickets can be purchased from January 28 – March 13 at these Publix stores throughout Tampa Bay. Discount tickets can also be purchased online here. Tickets sold at the gate are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Royal Fun for Everyone!” The festival runs from March 3-13 in Plant City.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Midway opens at noon on Thursday, March 3, Friday, March 4, Tuesday, March 8, Wednesday, March 9, Thursday March 10 and Friday, March 11. Midway opens at 10 a.m. on weekends and on Monday, March 7.

Nearly 500,000 visitors are expected to enjoy the festival’s headline entertainment, livestock shows, rides, exhibits, and of course, strawberry shortcake.
