Retailer to launch new Penney Days promo

PLANO, TX (WFLA) – JCPenney is set to launch a new marketing campaign at the end of February that will let you buy select private brand items for just a penny, the company announced Thursday evening.

In the press release, the retailer said that its new value proposition is called “Get Your Penney’s Worth.” Its mission is to make sure every shopping trip to a JCPenney store or its website is worth the shoppers’ while.

Starting Feb. 28, during the first weeklong Penney Days, you will be able to buy regular priced Arizona brand item or accessory and buy the second one for one penny. During the upcoming Penney Days the store will feature unique in-store items for one cent with no additional purchase required, while supplies last, according to the press release.

The Penney Days campaign will last through the year.

“We want to be the shopping mecca for the modern American mom, which means we need to dimensionalize the idea of worth. We know our customers live very busy lives and we want every trip and interaction at JCPenney to be worth her time, her hard earned money and her effort,” said Mary Beth West, the chief customer and marketing officer for JCPenney.
