Gas leak fixed after stolen truck crashes into Tampa apartment

UPDATE: The gas leak has been fixed. The truck involved was stolen, and the driver ran off, according to the Tampa Police Department. Police are still looking for the driver.

PREVIOUS STORY: TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa Fire Rescue crews are on scene at North Boulevard Homes, off of W. Chestnut Street.

A truck crashed into a building between 909 and 927 W. Chestnut, and there’s a natural gas leak. The surrounding buildings have been evacuated.
