Lockdown lifted at Freedom High School, no gun found

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Freedom High School was placed on lockdown on Wednesday afternoon after a student reported seeing another student with a weapon.

A Hillsborough County Schools spokesperson said that the student reported that the weapon was a gun.

Officers with the Tampa Police Department responded to the scene, but did not find a weapon.

The lockdown was lifted at 2:15 p.m.

Freedom High School is located at 17410 Commerce Park Blvd. in Tampa.
