Tim Tebow Foundation hosts prom night for people with special needs

SAFETY HARBOR, FL (WFLA) — Friday night is prom night for some lucky people in Safety Harbor. But what makes the party extra special, is that it’s going down Tim Tebow style.

Two hundred churches in 48 states and eight countries around the world will host a Night to Shine sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation — including Harborside Church in Safety Harbor — to celebrate people with special needs ages 16 and older. According to the Tim Tebow Foundation, that’s 30,000 honored guests sharing the same amazing prom experience on the same night around the world.

“We’re going to take them around in a limo drive, give them a red carpet experience, we’re going to take their pictures like the paparazzi, we’ll have a DJ, we really want them to feel like kings and queens,” said Griffin Gilstrap, of Harborside Christian Church.
