TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — Tampa Police will work with FBI and Plant High School security to investigate the Friday’s threatening call that put the school on a modified lockdown.
Police say the threatening call came into the police department Friday morning and they talked to a student to determine his potential involvement in the call making the threat. Officers later confirmed that the student was not charged.
The school was notified of the threat and placed on modified lockdown for a little over an hour Friday morning in an abundance of caution. It was taken off lockdown when the police determined there was no threat to the school campus.
Plant High was also placed on lockdown for a few hours on Wednesday morning after a “vague threat” was called into the Tampa Police Department.
