TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and News Channel 8 has some last minute, unique ways for you to wow your loved one.

Love is in the air – literally – at Celebration Aviation. So why not spend this Valentine’s Day up, up and away? It would bring new meaning to ‘love birds’ if you surprise your significant other with a ride that would hail as the most unforgettable date.

Owner David Justice has been taking couples through calm winds and sunny skies for decades. He said Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular times for a romantic ride.

“They’re beautiful,” Justice said. “Never seen an ugly balloon. Just the idea – we’re going to float along with the breeze.”

If heights aren’t your thing, try the calm waters of the Hillsborough River.

“We’ve actually become the highest-rated water activity according to Trip Advisor,” eBoats Tampa owner, Kevin Fyfe, tells News Channel 8.

Rent a boat at eBoats Tampa and take your date for a spin around the Hillsborough River enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Tampa and up close views of the city.

“We’re open until 10:00 at night so we’re busy all day long,” Fyfe said. “So people like to see the bridges light up.”

Anyone can operate the electric-powered boats; they go along at a slow speed which allows for an enjoyable and relaxing ride.

The Tampa Bay Lightning play on Valentine’s Day, so that’s a sporty idea — and a good way to cuddle in the cold.

Or head to Ybor City where the Dog Valentine’s Day Food Tour gets underway Friday night. Walk with your significant other—and your dog—through Ybor enjoying some of the best food from junior chefs. Dogs apparently get some goodies, too.
