PASCO COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – A man is under arrest with $10,000 bond after he threw a cat off a second-floor balcony, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report posted on PCSO’s Facebook page, the incident happened in New Port Richey. Robert James Lewis, 35, was seen walking out of his apartment holding an orange cat by its neck. He then threw the cat off the second-story balcony, deputies said.

The cat injured its left rear leg. A witness told deputies that the cat had scratched the furniture in the apartment, that’s why Lewis threw it.
