TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — We’ve got good news for those of you who’ve always wanted to try a Wahlburgers burger. Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg are bringing their famed burger restaurant to Florida.

Beginning in mid-February, a juicy Wahlburger will be just a short road trip away for Tampa Bay residents. The restaurant chain’s first Florida location is set to open soon in Orlando.

The restaurant, which serves Black Angus Beef burgers, sandwiches, salads and more, will be located at 200 S. Orange Ave. in downtown Orlando’s SunTrust building. The restaurant will also feature a full bar (see menu).

The restaurant is in a prime location that is convenient for both locals and tourists visiting Orlando.

“The cool thing about downtown is we’re in the heart of Orlando where everyone can come and it’s convenient for everybody, including all of the professionals that work in downtown and all the people that come for all of the events at night downtown,” Wahlburgers spokesperson Kim Simeone told WFLA.com.

If you watch the A & E reality show “Wahlburgers” you know the behind-the-scenes story about the restaurant and the Wahlberg brothers.

Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg worked with his brothers, actors Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg, and partners to expand their hometown family restaurant into a chain.

An invitation-only VIP party to celebrate the new Orlando restaurant is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18.

Paul Wahlberg is scheduled to attend the VIP party. Organizers are working with Mark and Donnie Wahlberg’s schedulers to see if they can make the trip to Florida.

Even though the VIP party is private, the public can still be a part of the celebration that evening. Church street will be blocked off for a street party from 7 p.m. to midnight, complete with a band.

“We know that a lot of people are really excited,” said Simeone.

Details about the party have not yet been announced.

If you are not up for a road trip to Orlando, a Wahlburgers could be opening in an area near you. Simeone said the chain has plans to expand all over Florida. A timetable and specific locations have not been announced.
