More than $29,000 raised for victims of Duette tornado

DUETTE, Fla. (WFLA) – More than $29,000 has been raised for the victims of the Duette tornado.

Steve Wilson was killed instantly, authorities said. His wife, Kade, died of a heart attack on the way to the hospital.

A GoFundMe site to raise money for the Wilsons and their family has raised enough money to pay for the funeral expenses, according to the site’s host.

Stephen M. Wilson and four children who were in the house were also injured. One of the Wilsons’ granddaughters suffered a lacerated liver. Another granddaughter sustained a collapsed lung and lacerated liver. An update says the girls are will likely be released from the hospital soon.

Two boys were also scraped up but have already been released from the hospital.
