Moffitt Cancer Center resumes operations after bomb threat

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – On Friday University of South Florida Police confirmed they investigated a bomb threat at the Moffitt Cancer Center on campus, located at 12902 USF Magnolia Dr. Police said the center has resumed normal operations, but that the investigation is ongoing.

Officers confirmed that the threat was called in. A warning went up on the USF website at about 7:30 p.m.

According to USF Police, no evacuation was ordered. Officers searched Moffitt and did not find anything, they said. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
