Fire prompts evacuation of Clearwater Suncoast Hospice

CLEARWATER, Fla (WFLA) — The Clearwater Suncoast Hospice building was evacuated Friday morning after a fire broke out.

Firefighters responded to a call about a fire at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. at 8:57 a.m.

A fire spokesperson said it was a minor electrical fire in a junction box. The fire has been put out.

There were no patients at the facility.

No details were released about the number of people evacuated or any possible injuries.
